James runs his own company helping businesses with online and print brand development and communication design with over 20 years experience in the marketing industry. He has become an expert at interpreting business and marketing goals into a brand that impacts sales.
Recent clients include The Brookfield Zoo, Peerless Mounts, VESA (Video, Electronics Standards Association), Jeffrey LaMorte Salon & Day Spa. In 2009 he served as Director of Creative Services for the brand development and web site creative for launch of the 1-800-Baskets.com division of 1-800-Flowers.com.
James has a unique background having worked on the corporate side, agency side and has run his own business. He has extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of the creative process with proven strategic leadership for blue-chip to start-up businesses. His design capabilities include but are not limited to interactive, company branding, in-store POP and environmental design, collateral materials, direct mail, promotional materials, and product design. Over the course of his career, James has been privileged to work with clients such as Kraft, Target, Toys R Us and FAO Schwarz. Others include Haagen-Dazs, Motorola, General Mills, Unilever, Bally Total Fitness, Georgia-Pacific, Kid Stuff Marketing, Erehwon, Whole Foods, General Mills, Claire’s, Disney, NHL and many more.
Baseball Background:
James grew up in a baseball family where his passion for the game, skills and talent lead to becoming the starting shortstop/second baseman for East Detroit High School during his Sophomore, Junior and Senior years (1985-1987). He maintained a batting average of .375 as a switch hitter and had many all-star appearances through his entire baseball career.
